gentle basic yoga

Gentle Basic Yoga focuses on centering, breathing, stretching, balancing, and strengthening. The fundamentals of yoga are weaved through a gentle, slow practice that works on alignment and enhances strength and flexibility.

mindful yoga flow

Mindful Yoga Flow is best suited for those who have experienced some yoga practice. Pranayama, asana, and savasana are part of every class. Expect warm-up sequences, sun salutations, standing postures, balance and core stabilizing poses, backbends, forward bends, twists, inversions, hip openers, and arm balances. Modifications offered.

Sacred Geometry YOGA flow

Sacred Geometry Yoga Flow is similar to our Mindful Flow Yoga class with an extra focus on the geometric shapes our bodies make in the poses and running the breath through the body in these shapes. This practice includes a specific type of breath, called the central channel breath, which is optional. The class works on a deeply energetic level and will leave you feeling clear and invigorated.

yin yoga

Yin Yoga improves energy flow in the body through passive, longer-held poses. Targeting our connective tissue (the body’s deepest tissue), this practice of release enhances the flow of chi in ligaments, joints, bones, organs, deep fascia, and meridians. Asanas are held for a few to several minutes in stillness promoting softness and ease. Muscles are relaxed during poses to avoid muscle spasm and encourage opening.

HATHA YOGA FLOW

This class begins with a gentle warm up, peaks with sun salutations, and completes with a sequence of postures held for 3-5 breaths. There is a strong focus on alignment and plenty of modifications to suit any experience level or desire. This class is supported by yogic philosophy, breathwork, and meditation.

Pilates

Pilates is a low impact, core-centered practice that improves muscle tone, flexibility, strength, balance, mobility, posture, and even mood. Designed to enhance the body’s potential, this structured system of exercises corrects muscular imbalances and puts the body into optimal alignment. Pilates movements are paired with a specific breath to target the smaller and deeper muscles that support structure and overall health. Open to all levels. Modifications offered.

breath, tone, move!

Shake off your day and get your energy flowing with breath work, toning, and movement. This fun, high-energy class incorporates a variety of breath techniques, as well as using the voice as a healing tool, and repeated and held postures to build heat and move stagnant energy. Perfect for after a long day, this class is designed to clear your mind, increase vitality, and lubricate your joints! Offered in-studio and virtual. Class playlists will be shared on Christine's Spotify before class. Find her @cdowndog on Spotify.

sweat to surrender

This class fuses strength and effort with relaxation and ease. Begin with a vinyasa flow and end with yin and restorative postures. First half of class involves fluid movement, second half of class is more grounding and meditative.

yin & restore

End your week cocooned into the comfort and insights of long, supported holds.  A practice inspired by the meridian pathways of Chinese Medicine, with the intention to soften connective tissue, make space in areas of your body that hold tension, and melt into a meditative state.  Gentle movement is provided in addition to long, held postures to support release.
